Abstract

The variation of dielectric constant of a ferroelectric crystal BaTiO3 is studied for different temperatures experimentally. As in the literature, it is found that the
dielectric constant becomes maximum at the transition temperature. The Photonic Band gap (PBG) of the photonic crystal consists of BaTiO3 and air is studied at various temperatures. By analyzing the transmission spectra of the photonic crystal, it is observed that there is a change in the PBG when the temperature increases.
