Abstract

Big data is a term for data sets that are so large or complex. It is an evolving term that describes any voluminous amount of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data that has the potential to be mined for information. The rapid development data analysis on Social Networking of Big Data brings revolutionary changes to our daily lives and global business, which has been addressed by recent research. Adopting reference architecture within social media Big Data system accelerates delivery through the reuse of an effective solution and provides a basis for governance to ensure the consistency and applicability of technology use within an organization. Big Data processing techniques analyze Big Data sets at terabyte or even  etabyte scale. This leads to the classification of Big Data Systems based on the processing styles. The objective of this paper is to map different architectures followed by the social media Big Data systems to the reference architecture and classify the data processing based on the processing type used by the architecture which helps in quality evaluation of Big Data as well.
